Stat 221. I am learning Confidence interval, looking for some areas of the possible answers. But, how to make statement, and answer are very stratified and tricky.
First, you start from
a question (state the problem): Researchers plan to examine 26 breast-fed infants and estimate the mean hemoglobin level of all breast fed infants. Assume that the population standard deviation is 1.6 gram/100ml and the population is normally distributed.
Formulate: Obtain a 95% confidence interval estimate for the mean hemoglobin level of all breast fed infants.
Solve: Collect data. mean ± m. m= the margin of error. Z*x σ/rute n.
Conclude: We are 95% confidence that the interval (12.28, 13.52) contains the mean hemoglobin (in grams/100ml) for all breast-fed babies.
