We are in Prescott Arizona.
It's been 3 days since we arrived in Prescott, and it's time to blog. David packed everything so neatly on the day we left Provo and forgot his survival package, which included his computer, game, a holiday book about an engineer autobiography, etc.. So, we are using Kyle's and Marie's computers ever since. I will upload Yuna's weekly pictures once we get to Tuscan. For now, I just wanted to say hi and upload a few pictures from my phone.
Yuna with the first bow in which David reluctantly agreed to buy.
It has been fun to be around with family members. Fun to watch Amara and Yuna's interactions. Fun to listen to Marie and David's conversations. Kyle is a great example for discipline. He gets up early and leaves to coffee shop/library/work around 6 a.m.. He goes to bed by 10 p.m. for sure with clothes and a bag ready for tomorrow. As always, Marie organizes the house with fashion. The house smells nice even with two dogs. Marie and David have been watching sci-fi TV shows crazy, like even now.... I love visiting people and learning about them and good life style that I love to implement into my life.
Yuna did great sitting for 10 hours in the car coming up. David did fabulous driving for 10 hours by himself. And, I did amazing entertaining both of them. It took Yuna for a couple of nights to adjust to a new place. She now sleeps fine but we are leaving Prescott tomorrow to Tuscan. Another adjustment for her.
Amara has grown up so much. She is walking and talking. She's got diarrhea for 2 days now, hence she's been a little fussy mommy/daddy's princess. I did bond with her for the first day here though.
On Monday, we went to the Prescott gateway Mall and did Christmas shopping.
Tuesday, we planned to visit Sharlot Hall Museum but failed because David had a backache from driving so long. So we changed our plan and napped/read/played with Yuna and Amara in the house in the wood. Indeed, it has been a very nice vocation. I started reading Christmas Chronicles by Tim Slover. It was a book given to us last year in Cairo from Christensens. I also started crocheting. So I am enjoying my vocation spending time with David, Yuna, and family members, as well as reading and expanding my hobbies.
Now, I just remembered that I need to make a chocolate pie to enlighten the day of visiting Grandpa Gurney and Danny tomorrow even more. I am so excited to see them and hope the visit goes well. Love to all.

Teething
Oh no----!!!! Our Yuna baby is becoming less babyish! She climbs, stands, holding on to something, and eats regular rice. She even started teething yesterday and had a difficult day today (reported by David).

Week 32
Makes me laugh.
It makes Yuna laugh, too.
Recently Yuna has learned to climb up objects; thus, a superman pose with an accomplishment-and-satisfaction smile.
On November 30th, I put up the Holy Nativity from Cairo. Yes, this is a big accomplishment for me since I procrastinate putting up Christmas stuff. Since I procrastinate putting them up, off course, the natural outcome is to procrastinate putting them away. In fact, some of the Christmas stuff stay out through the year, like I did with poinsettia plants last year. It saved me from all the hustle of putting them away, finding them, and putting them up again. I actually felt "lucky" when I recognized the existence of the poinsettia plants, sitting at the corner of rooms from last year. Then, I felt ashamed and resentment of my laziness.
When I came home from work tonight, all the lights were off. This is not surprising since David likes the dark. What surprised me was I found David and Yuna viewing all the Christmas lights of the neighborhood at the corner of a room in darkness. He told me it calmed her down. Even Margaret talked about how Asher liked lights on their Christmas tree. So I went to the down stair storage room and the attic, hoping that mom took most of the Christmas decorations to brighten all the Kuwaitis. Probably, she or Matt actually did. But I still found some decorations around the house. Still enough amount to feel Christmas spirit in every corner of Normandy house if we decorated with. Will I do it? I hope I will be able to show you a lot of pictures of Yuna with Christmasy backgrounds in next few weeks, additionally, no Christmasy pictures after Christmas. Like the saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words," I want this venue to be a proof of my effort to improve my procrastination.

Making jewelry
This is the reason why I can still sit down in front of the computer and blog something.
This is the reason why I did not come home dead tired after long 12 hour work.
I made these at work with the kids. It probably had the most therapeutic value in me.
Unfortunately, this is not good enough to comfort my soul for missing seeing Yuna even once today. Ugh.....

Thanksgiving 2011
We had a great Thanksgiving day. It was relaxing, delicious, calm, quiet, warm, sleepy, and happy. What could you have more?!
食事の席で、みんな一人ずつ、何に感謝しているか言っていきました。
Grandpa はテクノロジー。１０人の子供はカリフォルニア、ベネズエラ、ネパール、クウェート、シアトル、ハワイとばらばらだけど、みんながどんな感謝祭をそれぞれ過ごしているかを知ることができるから。
Ema は、感謝祭の連休のおかげで、８時間寝れることができたことに感謝。
Aunt Anna はスマートフォンに感謝。
Uncle Bernellはおいしい食べ物と健康。
David は家族の支援。
私は６人のおじいちゃんとおばあちゃん達。彼らから学ぶことは限りなく、知恵袋とはごもっとも。
Aunt Rachael は。。。残念ながら、思い出せません。
でも、Grandma は８人の息子と２人の娘じゃなくて、８人の娘と２人の息子でよかったと言っていました。
由奈は健康とママとパパと家族に感謝しました。
Yuna had an honor to sit in the high chair with at least 3, maybe 4 generations of history. この由奈の座ってる椅子は、もう３－４世代のTuellerの子供たちが使った歴史ある椅子です。でも、壊れかけているので、スカーフでしばって固定しました（笑）。
And joined the fiesta.

Grandma was successfully check the growth of Yuna's teeth. Grandma reported "the teeth are coming."
Thanks to aunt Anna, I had a great fun taking pictures of The Stone family. They are so adorable. I love them.
Therefore, my Thanksgiving this year was relaxing, delicious, calm, quiet, warm, sleepy, and happy. Oh, I also enjoyed talking with grandpa Gurney. He sounded both excited and peaceful. I can't wait to see him for Christmas!! Holidays are great excuse to see loved ones!
今日はGrandpa とGrandma Tueller のうちで感謝祭のお祝いをしました。Grandmaは朝の７時４５分から七面鳥を作って、ご馳走を準備してくれました。メニューは、七面鳥、マッシュポテト、グレービー、ラズベリージャム、ロールパン、グリーンビーン、にんじんゼリーサラダ、ヤムとりんごをオーブンで焼いたもの、スタッフィング。そして、デザートには、キーライムパイ、パンプキンパイ、ピーカンパイ、チョコレートパイがありました。キーライムパイ、パンプキンパイ、ピーカンパイ以外は全て手作り。私は、チョコレートパイを昨日、仕事後夜中１１時頃に作って、持っていきました。みんな、とってもおいしいと言って、食べてくれたので、うれしかったです。

Harvesting tomatos
Which is more red, a tomato or Yuna's cheek?
We finally harvested the tomatoes my father planted back in May. Won't it be snowing tomorrow? Yes, a snow storm is on its way. In fact, we changed the Honda's tires to winter ones this week, thanks to my father-in-law's generous early Christmas gift. It's been about one month since the tomato plant was transferred into the house. How was the taste? They tasted like tomatoes, juicy and sweet.
お父さん、やっとトマトを収穫しました。ちゃんとトマトの味もして、おいしくサラダに入れていただきました。まだあと１つ、大きなトマトが赤くなりかけています。全部のトマトが収穫できたら、引っこ抜いて捨てればいいのかな？それとも、その大きなトマトを収穫せずに、しばらくおいておいたら、来年用の 種ができますか？？
Does anyone know if a tomato leaves its seeds for next year if I don't harvest it to eat?

Week 30
I guess I have been always loving her curve. It makes me laugh.
David and Yuna have been sick since Saturday. Yuna got better and only has coughs and running nose. David is .... still struggling. Getting better though.
Red dry cheeks, drool, and runny nose.
What will people get for a Christmas present?? I asked David to give me something that will improve my skills or talent. What would it be? Something to look forward to!

Week 29
Week 29. What can I say?
Yuna is growing fast. Like her cousin Asher, she started to drag herself to get to places. She likes to stand up with assistance. She enjoys (from my view) eating solid food.
Yuna can sit unassisted for about 5 seconds.
New things that I am challenging right now is that I am learning Hip Hop dance, Tap dance, and Ballet all at once with the kids at work as a part of my job. Dance is something I have always wanted to do and occasionally and casually did in the past. It will be a busy but satisfactory month to help them practice and perform on the 1st of Dec.

Yuna's first Trick or treating.
We started Trick-or-Treating from Aunt Marie's house.
People at Aunt Anna's have already graduated from Halloween. So there is no picture for that.
Then, we visited our last treat, grandma and grandpa T.
Yuna got the first treat, which was an Arizona quarter coin since grandma had already ran out the candies. She also showed us her quarter coin map, which was fun.
We had a great time visiting family members. Halloween was a good excuse to visit them for surprise, plus, dressing up is fun.
Could you guess what we were? We dressed up with the 70s theme.

Baby food & taking care of hands.
I won "a lesson in making homemade baby foods" in the R.S. service auction the other day. So kind Michelle taught me how, step by step.
Oatmeal Cereal
1/4 c. of ground oats (do NOT use instant or Quick Cook), ground in blender or food processor
3/4 c. water
1. Bring liquid to boil in saucepan. Add the oat powder while stirring constantly.
2. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, whisking constantly, mix in formula or breast milk and fruits if desired
3. Serve warm.
Carrots
Any amount of fresh carrots you desire
1. Peel carrots and cut into small chunks
2. Place chunks into a steamer pan with just enough water visible through the steamer basket
3. Steam until tender
4. Do not reserve any left over water to use for thinning out the carrots if baby is under 8 months old as Nitrates may seep into the cooking water
5. Place into your choice of appliance for pureeing and begin pureeing.
6. Add water as necessary to achieve a smooth, thin consistency
Peaches
Some people peel peaches, but if they are organic, you don't have to do this. I bought mine locally.
Wash, pit and chop peaches.
Place peaches in a pan with about an inch or two of water.
Steam until tender.
Puree, cool and freeze or blend with another food for a combination food.
Those were easy and fun. Yuna also liked eating apple one I made at home.
This morning, I had my finger prints taken for extending my permanent resident status. There, I learned a new thing about me. At the office, the computer kept rejecting my finger prints. So I asked what was wrong. An officer hesitantly told me that my fingers were like OLD LADIE'S that the computer did not recognize them as the fingers of 28 year old woman! He told me to take better care of myself. My boss said "you should have told him what you do for living!" This was not something that I expected to learn at the immigration office. I put lotion twice this afternoon at work.

Week 27
Yesterday, Yuna had a doctor's visit and immunization shots.
Weight: 18.2 lb (7.4kg); Height: 26 inch (66 cm); Head circumference: 40.25 cm
She weighs more than 86% of the baby girls of her age. Height is 56%, and head circumference is 3%. David says her weight goes into her cheeks. She recognizes people that are not her daddy nor mammy very well with tears.
Her past time activity is rocking, which also reminds me of an athlete's failed starting dash.

English is not the ideal language to tell an immediate danger.
On Thursday morning around 7:30 a.m....
Yaya: in panic, "D-D-David, mo...moth, moth, moth....there is a moth in the bathroom. You need to get up NOW!!"
David: "Ummmm....." rolls over and does not get up at all.
Yaya: "Moth, MOTH...."
David: "Umm..." seemed irritated.
Yaya: "Oh, no! Here he comes. Oh, no oh no, he's climbing on the bed!!!!"
David: rolls back over, opens his eyes, and finds a little MOUSE, about the size of Yuna's palm, on the bed next to him.
I'm sure the mouse thought he climbed up on a trampoline as David freaked out and quickly changed his position to defense mode.
David kindly released him in our back yard. (Why so close? Ask him.) We might see him again sooner than we want to. We miss you greatly, Sassy.

Week 25
We just came back from a fun family gathering at aunt Jan's. Thai food is always delightful and aunt Jan's ABC cake baked by grandma was such a treat after my long day of work (I know I just worked a few hours but that was how it felt at least). Thank you. Thank you! I love the big family! Hopefully, Yuna will be able to enjoy the company and food soon. I will be taking a home-made-baby-food lesson that I won from the Relief Society service auction last night. So Yuna should be craving for it!
Christian sounded like he was enjoying the school very much. He was even wearing a bright red jacket that said "Wasatch Academy." He packed (what he said)/ trashed (how I saw) A LOT of stuff that he considered to be very important in several boxes! Big thank you to Danny and Nadia taking him and the stuff to Mt. Pleasant. Yes, I love having a big family.
